1) Amazon Associates

Amazon Associates is one of the most popular affiliate networks online and is one of the best affiliate programs to promote on your site.

As you probably already know, Amazon has a wealth of different products ranging from electronics to books and from health products to gardening tools.

There's just SO much to choose from within Amazon that it makes it one of the best to promote.

No matter which niche you're in, there's bound to be products that you can promote within Amazon.

Additionally, if a customer clicks through your link and doesn't even purchase the product you were promoting, you still get a commission on any purchase they make within the 24-hour cookie window.

For example, I found out that I earned a commission and the customer had purchase doggy bags...I've never promoted this on any of my sites, but I still earned a commission!

Awesome!

Pros

  • Easy to get started and share links
  • Tons of products to choose from
  • Perfect for any niche

Cons

  • Limited payment options (cheque or gift cards)
  • Low commissions rates (1-10%)
  • Support isn't great

Tip: Make sure you have quality content on your site before you apply, as lack of content can affect your chance of approval.

2) Skimlinks

the best affiliate programs to promote skimlinks

Skimlinks is a tool which converts retailer links straight into affiliate links.

By adding a bit of code to your site, Skimlinks automatically turns some of your new and existing non-affiliate links into affiliate links.

I recently just started with Skimlinks and I actually started making money with it right away.

I was so surprised!

It's so easy to set up and it doesn't take long before you start earning, depending on the retailer's links you're using.

There is also a Google Chrome extension which notifies you when Skimlinks has a link available for that particular merchant.

So not only can you get links for your site, but you can also share them on social media.

If anyone makes a purchase through your Skimlinks link, then you'll earn a commission.

Pros

  • Easy to get started and set up
  • Many merchants available to earn from
  • Low payout threshold (just £10)
  • check-circle
Allows you to earn through products you may not have been approved from directly (especially as a beginner)

Cons

  • Need to wait to be approved
  • A bit of code you need to add to your website (nothing too difficult though)
  • A UK company, therefore not fully optimised for non-UK countries

3) Wealthy Affiliate

the best affiliate programs to promote wealthy affiliate

Wealthy Affiliate is an online affiliate marketing training platform which teaches people like you and me how to earn an income online through affiliate marketing.

The goal is to build a site, based on a passion, bring targetted traffic to your site and promote niche related products to earn affiliate commissions.

I believe a lot of my success online is due to this program, and with all the training and effort I put in, my income can only continue to grow from here.

The good news is...

Not only do they offer one of the best affiliate training platforms online, they also have one of the best affiliate programs to promote...even if you're a beginner.

With their affiliate program, you can expect to earn up to 50% commissions.

Wealthy Affiliate is completely free to join, and as a free starter member, you can still earn commissions on anyone that joins the program and upgrades to the premium membership.

That's why this platform is great to promote, even for beginners.

Note: You don't have to promote Wealthy Affiliate in order to be successful with their training platform. You can choose to promote your own niche websites, and you'll be taught how to monetise those for profits within Wealthy Affiliate.

  • Free to join
  • Can earn commissions even as a starter member
  • Up to 50% commissions

Cons

  • Can only earn 50% commissions as a premium member

the best affiliate programs to promote shareasale

Share-A-Sale is another popular affiliate network for bloggers and online marketers because it offers a wide range of affiliate products for you to promote.

It's been running for 18 years so has built itself to be a trusted affiliate platform.

I like that they allow you to create your own custom links, so depending on the merchant, you can create links to any page on their website.

Plus...Share-A-Sale also has their own affiliate program if you wish to promote the platform to other affiliates.

Pros

  • Tons of online merchants to choose from
  • Great reporting features
  • Easy to use and promote

Cons

  • Minimum threshold a bit high ($50)
  • Userface is a little outdated

5) iPage

the best affiliate programs to promote ipage

iPage is a great affiliate program and a platform I like to promote because I've personally had a positive experience with them.

They're a website hosting platform, offering some of the best rates at just $1.99/month for up to 36 months.

For more details on how to set up a blog on a budget, with iPage, check out this in-depth 6-step beginners guide.

When I first started my affiliate marketing journey, I earned my first 3-figure commission with them, and it was paid directly to my Paypal account.

My first 3 figure commission!

Some people have claimed that they didn't receive payment from iPage, however, I've included a screenshot showing payment proof of my first commission.

If you're not a user of iPage or don't feel you can promote them, then you should promote your current web hosting platform, as they're likely to offer some comparable commission rates.

Pros

  • Can earn up to 3 figure commissions per sale
  • Easy to join and use
  • Pays via Paypal

Cons

  • If you're not a user of iPage then you may not want to promote them
  • Sometimes slow response time from support
  • No dedicated live chat support for affiliates

Their affiliate program allows you to earn $65 per referral.

See payment proof below:

If you're looking for an alternative affiliate program to iPage then you should try Bluehost. Or you can promote the hosting provider you currently use for your website/blog.

Pros

  • Earn $65 per referral
  • Pays via Paypal
  • Easy to sign up with simple user interface

Cons

  • Can't earn more than $65 on a referral
  • A lot of competition to promote
  • times-circle
Minimum payout threshold is $100 (so can't request payout after your first sale)

Hi Jakub, yes Getresponse is a great affiliate program and I’ve received my payments on time. I also really like the affiliate back office as it’s so easy to navigate!

Great review. My favorite affiliate programs are clickbank and amazon associates. It seems really hard to make money with Amazon at first because you have to have a good deal of traffic. The click through rate may be higher, but they only have a 24 hour window to make a purchase. This is ok. People buy a lot of things from Amazon now, so it shouldn’t be a problem.
